Judging Methods

UNIQLO will upload all designs that pass the first stage onto the “UT GRAND PRIX 2013″ website. The winning designs in each category will then be selected through an online vote and by the judges.

US$30,000 In Total Cash Prizes For The Winners

UNIQLO today announces the launch of the UT (UNIQLO T-shirt)
Grand Prix 2013, an annual T-shirt design contest in which participant

s around the world turn T-shirts into creative works of art. The 2013 contest will take place from August 3rd to September 2nd 2012.

Contest entrants can submit their original designs featuring one of six internationally well-known music artists: AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, KISS, the Sex Pistols and The Who. These music
legends will personally select the six winning entries in the Artist’s Choice Award category, whereas an online voting process will choose the six winners in the People’s Choice Award category.

A total of US$30,000 in cash prizes will be available for the twelve winners.

UNIQLO will select an additional twelve entries for the Runner’s Up category, and the company will produce UTs for all twenty-four designs and sell them at its stores throughout the world, as well as online, in 2013. Details regarding the sale of the UTs will be announced in due course.
